I mailed about the EHT [EHN] opinion (sic!) to Patti Siri-Tarino and she answered that they have performed a sub-analysis among studies that did not adjust for serum cholesterol to address the issue, and confirmed the findings of their published meta-analysis. The overall results of the meta-analysis are therefore robust.
They have written a response to the EHT-letter to the editor which should be published shortly.
BTW The german nutrition society said about the meta-analysis also it wouldn´t change their opinion on SAFA.
Curious enough their slogan is "committed to science".
